Google maps is ok for normal roads however unless you edit Google maps fire trails etc are not able to be selected. Even after editing the roads to allow selection another map editor user needs to confirm the changes which makes it difficult.
Whilst looking for a solution i found this script which could be off use in the future.

Very nice. I just tried it out and tested creating a few lines and polygons. Nice script. 🙂

I definitely put it into the feature request database. I love your idea actually Scoteye. 🙂 I am giving away beta accounts soon for people to test the new version before it goes live. But only for those who give good suggestions. 🙂
