After having an epiphany about where to put it I finally got around to installing my rear camera which is connected to a digital rearview mirror (not to replace my rear parking camera but to see what's behind me when driving and also for its dashcam functionality).
For anyone who's interested, I've got the Wolfbox G900 from Amazon which comes with a forward-facing camera (4k, really really sharp and vibrant) and a rear-view camera (2.5k). The forward-facing camera sits in the mirror device itself while there's like a 5m lead for the rear-view camera. Installation is relatively easy, the mirror device clamps onto your existing mirror and draws power from a USB-C cable (adapter for your 12V plug is included). There are quite a few adjustments to both cameras (brightness, resolution, flip/mirror) and there are tons of other settings for the actual dashcam features (recording, GPS, etc.). The whole mirror acts as a touch screen so you don't need any extra app. Any questions? Shoot!
