The Challenge

On August 13 the team from simPRO will fly down to Melbourne to meet up with our fellow adventurers and to get acquainted with our trusty steeds. First draft of the trip looks a little something like: Melbourne > Lakes Entrance > Canberra > Bondi > Pt Macquarie > Lismore > Gold Coast. Subject to change, except the start and the end.

They're not the first to take these under-powered aussie icons on a marathon road trip. The Postie Bike Challenge has become the modern-day lamington drive, serving as a platform to come together for a common cause and some uncomfortable adventure.

The Bike

Since 1980 the Honda CT110 has been manufactured exclusively for Australia Post by Honda Japan. They are soon to be phased out, replaced instead by the Honda Super Cub.

The Cause

The Laser Group have nominated beyondblue as their beneficiary and were proud to be onboard for this worthwile cause.

Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. In Australia, it is estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.

beyondblue is an independent, not-for-profit organisation working to increase awareness and understanding of anxiety and depression in Australia and to reduce the associated stigma.
