Anywhere local to Perth, and we try to do a decent trip once a year. Did Esperance, Bremer Bay, Albany, Denmark and Dunsborough over 3 weeks in March, and last year Karijini, Cleaverville, Exmouth, Gnaraloo station and Shark Bay

Lanolin is a great way to protect your car - I spray it on once a year. Let it dry for a few days before you leave, but it does a good job.

We use self inflating mattresses - if you get a good one, it will last you a long time. If somehow you manage to get a puncture, the foam still keeps you up a bit. They also insulate well from the ground
