Roof Console Ideas

I wish to make my own roof console. Most likely I will frame it using 6mm mdf and then wrap it in fibreglass.

So i want to allocate enough flat surfaces for lots of goodies that i don't have yet, being able to easily fit them as required.

So far I have thought or seen during my research

*UHF
* ScanGauge
* Voltmeter
* Interior Lights
*Switch Panel
* Fuse Block
* DVD Screen

For my needs I was also thinking I would mount the factory radio and stacker in the roof console freeing up two single dins in the dash for the useful stuff like UHF and possibly gauges for Oil Pressure, Tranny Temp and volts for main battery.

So what would you guys want to install into a roof console?

How about a little joystick that's connected to a spot light on the roof that's attached to a servo motor. So you can move it around while driving at night and point the light where you need it. Comes in handy when you try to find a camp site on the beach at a dark deep night. :)
