Ok so I went for a run to Station Creek just for you guys. The weather for the next few days looks like it'll be a bit damp at times so be prepared for wet weather camping.

There are 2 ways to get there. From the northern side heading south you'll turn left onto Newfoundland Rd (through Newfoundland SF) then right onto Burns Rd and then Left onto Barcoongere Way and just follow the signs to Yuraygir NP.
On the southern side heading North turn right onto Barcoongere Way and follow through 🙂

The road surface is loose and pebbly so take caution when approaching corners and crests as it can get narrow and off camber in places.

Facilities:
Amenities block
Wood barbecues (Need to bring own firewood which is available fromthe liberty petriol station in woolgoolga on the old pac hwy unsure if available from the BIG Shell station at halfway creek which is north)
Picnic tables

You should know:
Sites are not marked
Contract fee collector onsite
Self-registration stand onsite for fees if fee collector not available
First come first serve basis
Water is not available at this campground, so you'll need to bring your own supply for drinking and cooking.
This is a remote campground, so please make sure you arrive well-prepared.
There may be a supply of firewood at this campground, however it?s a good idea to bring your own supply.
Sites are not powered
Generators are not permitted in this campground
Rubbish bins are provided
Strong rips and currents may be present at this beach ? take care in the water and please supervise children at all times.
Check the weather before you set out as the road to this campground can become boggy when it rains
Noise restrictions
No domestic animals allowed

Fees:
Camping fees: $10 per adult per night. $5 per child per night. (There is a self registration booth at the entry with an envelope for the money)
Other fees: Annual pass or daily vehicle entry fee of $7 also required.

Bookings are not available for this campground.

Now for the bad news. My powersteering pump seems to have spat a seal. I'll need to investigate before being able to commit to coming along as I cant afford a replacement

Well I removed the pump and stripped it and couldn't find anything wrong except a bolt seemed a bit loose. Put back together and $10 of powersteering fluid later it is running ok, need more time to bleed the bubbles out.

So i'm ready to roll

Well it appears that my power steering issue has arisen again so unfortunately im out of today's activities. Cant afford to blow another pump.

Great to see everyone coming together for some great outdoor action.

How was the trip and whats next on the agenda?

Ha ha unfortunately mate, it ended up just bein the 3 original cars as several blokes had work commitments/car issues etc... But we still had a ball exploring the area... I have been a little slack admittedly with the trip report, will get onto it asap... 🙂

Next trip...? We're talking about a DI run one weekend, but no dates set yet... Of course there's always Glassy 🙂

Sounds good, I'm keen to get mine off the road and see what it can do.
I'll have to keep my eye on the forums for the DI run.

Dammit... Spent nearly an hour typing out a trip report on Coffs, clicked preview post, couldn't get back to this typing box and lost everything!! Aaaahhhhh!!! If the post is too long the preview box hides under the section at the bottom and the edit button is hidden... might be something to look at Torsten...?

Anyway, short version now!! After getting to Station Ck Wednesday afternoon and setting up, we woke up Thursday to find Dad's Hunjy had a locker issue, so he was out for the day trying to sort it out... Andy, Josh, Micko, the kids and I went out playing... Had to winch Andy out of a potential rollover, and spent 45min winching my Patrol about 60m up a red clay hill after sliding all the way to the bottom and not being able to drive back out...

Friday saw Dad head down to Cascades NP for a look, while the rest of us had a play around in Yuraygir NP around the Station Ck area... Some nice technical little sections, some mud, and was a good play...

Saturday saw us head to the lookout to wait for Matt (turns out he had a mechanical issue and couldn't come...) and Torsten had work commitments, so it was just the 3 vehicles again (Andy's Rodeo, Dad's Hunjy and my 'Troll...). Checking out Google maps we found Commando trail and decided to head there... After a good look and discussion, we took the right hand track rather than attempt the hardcore left side... although in hindsight, especially after the attempt at Army Road, the left side of Commando would have been doable for my Patrol... We spent the rest of that day exploring various tracks here and there, including Morbid Trail, which turned out to be a very nice little drive... We went down it, but it would have been very interesting to attempt going up... Late afternoon saw us back near Commando and heading up Army road... Well, 3/4 of the way up and the 'Troll nearly had a serious lie down, so it was all hands on deck trying to pack the track and back the truck out of a serious situation (which led to the hindsight that Commando would have been a better option, as Army Road was way nastier, while Commando was just a lot longer...)

After getting back to the bottom, we called it a day and headed back to camp for our final night... Next morning saw Andy pack up and leave early as he had a fair drive in front of him, while Micko and I took the kids to the beach for a fish with no luck unfortunately... Back to camp, packed up and headed home...

All in all it turned out to be a good trip with some great scenery and fun tracks found... Definitely going back for another run some time...

Torsten mate, you'll hafta help with these pics again please mate... We didn't get many, as we were all too busy driving! 😁 but here is a couple anyway...

The pics are of the technical section on Rover Trail that nearly saw Andy come unstuck, a couple of the trucks on the beach, the start of Commando Trail, the obligatory flex shot (although not a full flex...), campsite and the section of Army Road that nearly had me come unstuck (doesn't look like it in the photo, but it was pretty bloody hairy for a while...)

Anyway, that was the Coffs Run... Sorry about the abrupt report, but I wasn't gunna type out the full one twice!! 😁
