Coffs run...

Ok... down to just 4 weeks until the trip!! Getting so excited I can hardly sleep any more... First decent trip (even though it's only for a week...), since The Cape in July last year, and first 4WD trip at all since September last year, so getting very itchy feet...

Sooooo.... any more takers, interests or definites that wanna throw their names on the list...? Will start getting phone numbers etc. organised soon so we can arrange times/meeting places that sort of thing... Cheers 🙂

We've had over 100ml of rain in the last week. I hope your recovery gear is all up to scratch. I reccomend a good test before you come down.

Ive just had to fix my exhaust and I've done some mods to get my old girl ticking along. She just needs a tickle to get some more power.

Ha ha sweet... Yeah, I always keep my recovery gear in good order... hafta be mad not to! Finding out something's stuffed when you're halfway up a hill isn't the best time... 🙂

I'm not on fb anymore... Doesn't matter how many want to come... if there's only a couple, cool, if more, that's fine as well, so I'm only putting it up here really... I'd actually really prefer to keep numbers down to a manageable level, otherwise by the time all vehicles have tackled a track, the time gets away... 4-5 is a pretty happy medium I reckon... 🙂 will just wait and see I guess...

Yep, 24th to 28th... Wed. - Sunday... Obviously not everyone can take wed-fri off, but a few of us are heading down then anyway to have a look around, fish etc. while we wait for the weekend runs...

We have as definite you, me and Dad... Torsten I think is seriously considering, and Matt? I'm pretty sure he'll turn up at some stage, yeah...? Other than that, no other interest apparently...

I'm always keen. No need for e to camp though. I'll come for a play of course. I'm also normally the designated guineapig for tracks so I always get stuck in 1 way shape or form normally. 🙂

Hehe yeah, no point camping 10 mins from home mate hey... And don't worry, me and Andy tend to swap guinea pig (or just downright stupid...) roles quite often, so you'll definitely have some company in that group! 😁 ... Yeah, we're heading right down on Wednesday and (hopefully!) staying at Station Creek... We're hoping that even being school hols, if we get there mid-week we might still be able to squeeze a patch of grass somewhere...

Have some duelling banjo music ready. Metal and techno etc won't drive people nuts around here

Went for a run around the station creek area today. Yes I managed to get away from the mrs and rugrat.

I found the keyman

I also found a couple of bog holes to play in. I approached one cautiously and well lets say I didn't even make into the boghole as the tracks leading to the hole had a thin crust and the Pajero sank to the chassis, Very deceptive as it was solid to walk on when I was scouting the hole. Hmm, so I broke out the winch for the 1st time and it pulled me through like there was nothing attached. So verdict = Awesome 😁
