Bigriggen Camping and Caravan Park

Bigriggen is a large camping and caravan park in the Scenic Rim region, roughly 90 minutes' drive from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It sits on 100 acres of hilltop and river flat country, bordered by the Logan River and Burnett Creek, and surrounded by national parks, giving it a bush setting with room for both tents and bigger rigs.

The park offers unpowered camping sites as well as 30 powered sites suited to caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, fifth wheelers and big rigs. Guests can swim in the river, fish, go bushwalking, ride bikes, watch local wildlife such as kangaroos and kookaburras, and sit around a campfire at night, with firewood available to buy from the office.

Access is via a bitumen road followed by about 2 kilometres of gravel road to the entrance, and the park states it is accessible to conventional vehicles, so a 4WD is not required. There is a boom gate, so arrivals outside office hours need to be arranged in advance. The park is open every day except Christmas Day, and dogs are allowed under its pet rules. Fire bans and restrictions for Queensland should be checked before lighting fires.
