Hi all, My name is Mick and I live in NW NSW in a small town called Quirindi. I am reasonably new to 4wding and would like to learn as much as i can. I recently bought my Nissan Patrol and before that I had a Pajero. Only ever used it for everyday use and camping , the same as with my Nissan. I am slowly setting up my 1998 GU Patrol 2.8 lt TDi. I have a 2" Old Man Emu suspension lift and 285/75 - 16 A/T tyres on sunraisia rims. Hope to aquire another set of rims and put 33" muddies on for 4wding and keep the A/Ts for the highway. Other mods include a full length roof rack, ARB bullbar with Warn XD9000 winch, HID headlights and 2 7" LED spotlights on bullbar. Will put more mods up later. For Admin if they read this...I am finding it hard to register my 4x4 when the only year model I can use is 2004. As you can see above my Nissan Patrol is a 1998 model. Hope you can fix this...thanks in advance.

Hey Mick, glad to have you here. :) We have already a few Patrol and Pajero owners here. Would be good to gather more and more owners and create a help-each-other community among us. I will add your model asap besides I am writing already a module to add very own makes and models that don't exist yet.
1mak

Your model is in the database now. :)

Thanks for that 1MAK, will go in and do that right now. Would be great to chat with other Patrol and Pajero owners to share info. Thanks again.

1MAK, need to change (edit) some of the specifications to my Patrol if anything can be done about that. Thanks again :)
1mak

Can you write down the specs so I can change them by hand? I am gonna write a car specs editor but there's a bunch of things I want to finish first. :)

Hi 1MAK, your "send 1MAK a message" doesn't take you to a message box, it just keeps you at the same spot so I will answer the message here.

A bloke in Caboolture Qld makes them and sells them on ebay. He will cut the hole to the specific radio and will cut a second if you want one. Will also get it covered in the colour material you want. Go into ebay motors and do a search for roof consoles. You can ask him questions if you want before making any decisions, This one cost me $120 + $20 postage. I didn't have any holes cut for radios as my radio has a remote head and mounts on a bracket. He makes them for Cruisers and some other makes as well.

G'Day amigo. Nice to have you onboard.

Thanks Jeepman...nice to be aboard.

Hi MY98GU.

To be honest, I haven't even started to write the private messaging system yet. But it's on my list for before end of this month. I haven't finished some of the other functions yet and a good PN system is something where I want to spend some more intellectual brain power on. A complete car specifications form will come too to make sure everyone gets to add the right specs to their cars. You can always contact me via facebook, email or skype (torsten.projectlan).

I love the roof consoles. It gives you heaps more space inside your car and I will definitely have one soon to keep the car tidy. I need a good storage system for my camera(s) to get them out quickly if the situation requires it. Thanks for the tip with the guy in Caboolture. I didn't think they were that cheap. I thought they gonna be around the 600 AUD mark when I looked them up last time.

Now back to the code! :)
