Spare Tyre Cover BBQ Grill

While browsing the wild interwebz I found this awesome camping gear. What it is? It's a stainless steel Spare Tyre Cover that transforms into a BBQ grill whenever you have a camp fire. Costs about 125 American Dollars and is available for heaps of different tyre sizes.

- Laser cut stainless steel grill on solid steel legs.[/li]
- Grill and griddle sections for campfire cooking options.[/li]
- Hooks over a spare wheel (secure with Front Runner Spare Wheel Step LADD007, ratchet strap or wheel cover-not included).
- Fits 29” to 35” tyres (740mm to 890mm).

I think I am gonna order one next month when camping season starts. Should do a group buy.

Ha ha that's pretty ingenious... I'd be too lazy to keep the thing clean though, and it would just end up looking awful... Would be a little better too if it had a loop of flat sheet around the perimeter that actually covered the tyre as well when mounted... would make it a little hard to place on a fire though... But still, that's pretty cool!

Oh, and gotta ask... what's this "when camping season starts.." business? Mate, we live in Australia, camping season is year round, it's just the size of the fire that varies!! ha ha...

I actually prefer camping in winter sometimes... All the snakes are off hibernating and after a few drinks and a warm fire you barely notice the cold.

I love the idea of saving space but I agree with Hills about keeping it clean... nothing a wheel cover couldn't solve, or maybe we should invent some more gadgets to cover over the top.

edit: I found a better solution to hide the dirty grill:
