Janowen Hills Trip

G'day all... as it says, am looking to organise a trip out to Janowen Hills (via Warwick/Goomburra, Qld) in the near future... I was thinking the weekend of 28 Feb (Friday) thru to 2nd March (Sunday), if that would be convenient for all? It's sort of a two part meet-up, as the 28th is my birthday, so a weekend at Janowen would be a top way to spend it, and also a chance to meet up with some other forum members... So, anybody interested, throw up a post, or if a different weekend is required, put up a date and we'll work out the best time to suit everyone...
Cheers...

Yeah, sweet as! Look forward to meeting everyone...

Args, it's probably my fave 4x4 Park... Really well set-up facilities in two separate camp areas (both of which are huge...) right on the creek... Hot showers, toilets, bins... another camp area on the other side of the park with toilets and bins (don't think there's showers in that one..) and it's next to the Gymkhana track and the dam... The tracks range from dead easy for the main circuits, through to lockers and lifts required with a chance of panel damage... Below is taken from their site, regarding fees/camping/4WDing etc.... If anyone wants to have a look themselves the address is www.janowenhills.com.au

Hey everybody... Sorry, trip has been cancelled... Personal dramas at the moment... Hopefully can meet up with everybody some other time...
HillsForThrills OP

Well... I have to say, there is a reason Best Mates are called that... Mine has confirmed he is coming up for my birthday weekend after I had a very personal letdown (from someone else)... So, apologies if it's up and down and inconvenienced anybody, but the trip is back on!! Hopefully anyone interested is still able to attend...
Cheers

Lol good work Dan! I will pencil in the 28th it gives hubby four weeks to finish the damm camper or we will be tenting it for the weekend!!
HillsForThrills OP

Excellent! Hopefully we'll get a few out there, but should be a good weekend... :)
NAVMAN

I've been to Janowen twice and it has rained both times so I've never been able to do the tracks there.
HillsForThrills OP

Yeah, they do shut the park while it's raining... but it's good as it helps to stop the tracks being destroyed... But when they open back up after the rain but with the wet tracks, it's a whole different challenge out there!! Hopefully the 28th weekend won't be raining though... or maybe a day or two beforehand!! :)

Seems a bloke just can't get a win in lately... Janowen trip is definitely off... sorry for any inconvenience...
