Intercolonial Remoulds Mud Tyre Review

hey all. after much soul searching, googling, & bank account gazing, I've chosen my new muddies.
they are (drum roll)......... the intercolonial remoulds!!!!
as they are for off road only, I felt the general low speeds of offroading would suit the remoulded tyre. i'll admit, price was a factor, $100 each for 265 75 16 compared to name your price for the big brands, but the fact is, a grand + just for my offroad tyres was not an option.
they will arrive in a week or so, & i'll be keen as to try them out. after all they have federal couragai's to follow on from.
i'll give them a few test runs around glasshouse & then they will be along for the coff trip when that's on.
I'm very interested to se how a remould performs, so I will make this my first ever product review.
i'll measure tread depth when they arrive, & be following wear rates & so on. but most of all, obviously, how they go in the bush.
so let me know if your interested in me reporting on how these babies go.
cheers guys/girls.

well, the tyres were given a fairly thorough work out on the coffs trip(pics coming soon)
end result is a definate thumbs up.
in the dry everything is good. rock crawling in particular feels very secure.
we had a little light rain so the red clay got real greasy. nothing has much grip in wet clay but they did clean quickly.
we found a few mud holes & I didn't reed recovering......so that's good!!!
nothing bad to report, no punctures, no damage to sidewalls, no joins coming apart on the retread join, so I'm a happy lil vegemite.
I am running slightly higher pressures when aired down. mainy cos I noticed when stressed, ie full flex or on a hard rock edge, the side wall tended to fold a little rather than an even bagging, & not wanting a "fold" to develop I just used slightly higher pressure. problem solvered. never would have noticed the higher pressure. difference is usual front 20psi, ran 25. rear usual 10 psi & ran 15.
still to early to say on wear, only that after 5 days use, they still have a few of the nipples on them.
so there you have it. I don't think they are good for the money, cos they were cheap, I think they are great value for money.

Ha ha good on ya mate!! Ya didn't need recovering due to the tyres, no, it was your lack of driving skill... Oh, ahem, I mean, the wrong line taken and potential rollover... ... oh, and you didn't go down Pork Chop Trail either! Cleared red clay my freckle! I was 2" taller after that hour spent on the winch and my 35's turned into 37's... :) but they did perform quite well otherwise, I certainly agree... As a play tyre I reckon you've pulled a rose out of the weeds...
