We limit this trip to 10 cars to keep it nice and quiet and get to know each other better. Don't forget to bring your cameras, food and beverages. :)

Travel time: approx 2 Hours and 10 minutes. Travel Distance: 180km. We will take a different route back through Beaudesert to make the most out of it.

Looks great!

The whole family is looking forward to it and meeting some like minded 4WD enthusiast, hopefully the first of many wonderful outings.

The track back along the Mount Lindsey highway has some amazing rainforest, however we'll probably hang back in favour camping the night (camping buddies welcome).

We're keeping this option open ourselfs too staying for the night, having a camp fire BBQ etc. Lets see :).

We've decided to stay the night at Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park.

They have tent sites going for $28 per night however we've decided to treat ourselves to a bit of luxury and cut down on the packing with a basic cabin for only $90 per night for two people. Since we ended up stuck in the back of our car all night with the rain last weekend at Bribie and with the chance of rain again on Saturday, We figured why not spoil the family to a bit of a treat.

Good tip, I share this one with the others. Good thing we get a bit of rain, wouldn't be much fun driving through a dried out Condamine River bed.

How was it? Wish i could of made it. Maybe next time.

We actually did not do it. We did a big detour up to Mt Barney which took about 2hrs. It's a very steep offroad climb with nice scenery and we got to eat lunch on top of the hill. Well, we definitely do Condamine River soon, this time hopefully with more peeps on board. :) Let us know if you like to join us, all cars are welcome.

As luck would have it a couple of us continued on camping the night and exploring the local area. The Condomine River track was as expected with some moderate river crossing and amazing scenery, definetly going again. The highlight of the trip however came from exploring as we found some roads that while not marked as 4WD track certainly were as they lead to the top of mountains for breath taking view and along more river crossing although with different scenery.

I'll try to get some pictures posted later.

Turns out only a couple of the photos are at the Condamine since most of the time the phone was recording (32min video, a bit much to post)
